What is hypnosis?
The state of hypnosis is a totally natural phenomenon, and is both relaxing and pleasant. Whilst in this state a person can still converse easily.
What does hypnosis feel like and will I be asleep?
When you are in the state of hypnosis you are not asleep, and you are not 'out of it' or 'under' anything, all you feel is very, very relaxed. In fact you already know what it feels like to be hypnotized, every time you have intensely watched television, daydreamed, gotten lost in a book or driving and forgot that you were driving for a moment, you have experienced the state of hypnosis. You will be in control at all times and will remember everything that happens.
What is counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy that will help you to release negative thought patterns that may have been caused by past events, making room for positive changes to happen. I am a caring, nonjudgmental counsellor, working with individual clients and couples and am extremely attentive to what you need. Counselling will help you to unlock behaviours and patterns that may be stopping you from realising your full potential. By using specific strategies and tools, you will become aware of who you really are, why you do the things you do, while moving forward into your future in a way that is achievable for you.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is about helping you to create more attention to the present moment, to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you, that can improve your mental well being. Mindfulness allows you to be more aware of your present moments so you can enjoy life more and better understand yourself. It is a way of understanding what is going on inside and outside of yourself, moment by moment.
How many visits will I need?
Simple problems will usually require one session. The more deep rooted problems usually require 3-9 weekly sessions of therapy.
